Information for Readers

 

RICT Revista de Investigación Científica, Tecnológica e Innovación invites its readers to consult, download, share, and cite the content published in the journal in accordance with the principles of open access, academic integrity, and responsible use of scientific, technological, and innovative knowledge.

The journal publishes scientific articles, technological developments, reviews, case studies, and applied innovation works aimed at the academic, scientific, technological, educational, professional, and social community interested in the advancement of science, technology, and innovation.

Registration and Notifications of New Issues

Readers are encouraged to register for the journal’s publication notification service. Registration allows users to receive the table of contents of each newly published issue by email, as well as to stay informed about calls for papers, special issues, and relevant editorial updates.

Open Access and Content Consultation

RICT provides immediate open access to its content. Readers may consult, read, and download published articles free of charge, without embargo periods and without requiring an institutional subscription.

The journal’s content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) , which allows users to copy and distribute the materials in any medium or format, provided that appropriate credit is given, they are not used for commercial purposes, and modified versions are not distributed.

Academic Use, Citation, and Article Retrieval

Readers may use the articles published in RICT for academic, teaching, scientific, and research purposes, provided that the original source is properly cited, authorship is acknowledged, and the corresponding publication license is respected.

To support content retrieval, each article includes editorial metadata such as title, authorship, institutional affiliation, abstract, keywords, volume, issue, year of publication, available identifiers, and bibliographic references. Readers are encouraged to always cite the version published on the journal’s official website.

RICT progressively strengthens metadata normalization, visibility in academic search engines, and interoperability with scientific information systems, catalogs, repositories, directories, and specialized indexes.

Privacy and Use of Personal Data

Names, email addresses, and other data provided by readers through the journal’s registration system will be used exclusively for the declared editorial purposes, such as sending notifications, academic communication, and services related to the OJS platform.

RICT will not use readers’ personal data for commercial purposes nor provide it to third parties for purposes unrelated to the journal’s editorial management. For more information, please consult the Privacy Statement .

Digital Preservation and Permanent Availability

RICT promotes the digital preservation of its editorial archive through content management in Open Journal Systems, digital file backups, metadata preservation, and the permanent availability of published issues and articles.

The journal supports preservation mechanisms compatible with OJS, such as institutional backups, distributed preservation, and systems such as PKP Preservation Network, LOCKSS, or CLOCKSS, with the purpose of ensuring the integrity, permanence, and future retrieval of published content.

Reader Community Participation

The reader community contributes to the visibility, social use, and academic circulation of the journal through the consultation, download, reading, citation, and responsible dissemination of published articles.

RICT invites readers, teachers, students, researchers, and professionals to share the journal’s content in academic spaces, permitted repositories, classrooms, seminars, scientific networks, and communities of practice, always acknowledging the original source.
